The Pretend Curator - Shades of Blue

Continuing my little game of playing "curator for a day" using the work of the ArtSpan artists displayed at SOMArts .
ArtSpan Artists' Exhibition at SOMArts
This is my second attempt at curating pieces from the artists' exhibition.  I am the Pretend Curator who has been charged with coming up with possible themes to grace a pristine wall or hallway in your home.  All the pieces at the exhibition are smaller than 20 inches X 20 inches so grouping them would look spectacular!
Today's theme is blue.
Again, apologies for the poor image quality but hope this will encourage you to see the pieces in person at SOMArts.

"Untitled" by Todd Laby
broken children's toys  2015

Todd is an artist at Francisco Studios, where I work.   A brief advertisement for the place: 8 other fabulous artists, dog friendly, easy parking, easy on/off 280, 1/2 a block from Balboa Park BART!  Thank you for your attention, now back to the art curating.
"Three Peonies (cobalt) by Mariko Jesse
etching  2015

"Summer Fog" by Victoria Veedell
oil on canvas  2014

"Mono Lake #1" by Mike Browne
photograph  2011
The image is particular poor due to the angle and reflection from the glass.  Sorry Mike  Browne!

"Hybrid Topology in Blue" by Renee DeCarlo Johnson
ink, gouache, and stain on wood 2015

"Feeling Blue" by Hilla Hueber
mixed media  2015

"Freedom" by Nartan Sipma
watercolor on paper  2014

"Having the Blues" by Jana Grover
monotype 2014

"Urban Rain 4" by Amy Ahlstrom
Dupioni silk and cotton quilt  2015

Amy Ahlstrom's work is featured on the cover of the ArtSpan Open Studio Guide.  I love that an urban quilter was honored for that coveted award.
"Above Sante Fe" by Paula Clark
acrylic on canvas  2015
I think this is a particularly successful grouping with mostly blue hues and a few accents of color.
