Qinghai Museum, Xining

Calligraphy class outside of Qinghai Museum. The older gentleman appeared to be the instructor.  What a great way to practice on a large scale with an oversized calligraphy brush and some water.

the museum was located in a  large open space green zone with people taking their birds out to enjoy the fresh air.

The museum was filled with beautiful and ancient stoneware which reminded me of Native American art.

And then, it was off to Ta'er Monastery with it's famous stupas in a row.

We were to board our train at 7:30 pm but the train was delayed a couple of hours.  We sat at the newish station which was clean and had restaurants so waiting the 2 plus hours wasn't so bad.
