Starry Night Artist Residency
A little good news after all the commotion of Open Studios... I was accepted to the Starry Night Artist Residency program for May 2015. Starry Night is located in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. I have long been wanting to spend time in a place that is stark and very different from the lush landscape of Hawaii and wet and wild panorama of Iceland where I have created a series of paintings based on both locations. The residency is for 2 weeks and a guest is allowed as well.
The painting below, "Desert, Late Afternoon" was done a few years ago and it was from a memory of seeing the Arizona desert 30 years ago.
