Klamath Falls, the town
I took some time off after the frenzy of Open Studios and went north to Klamath Falls. The town was interesting in that it seemed like I stepped into a movie set from the 1950's. The buildings and sign typography had the feeling of another time like an episode of the Twilight Zone. It was deserted because it was a holiday adding to the starkness. The few people out were very friendly, cordial, even the homeless guy came up and asked up ever so politely if he could pet our dog. Even though the Main street had this eerie feel to it, it was clean and there weren't that many vacant storefronts, even during the current difficult economic situation.
