Talley: the latest portrait in the series
The latest in my portrait series, "Talley".
Talley is a naturally glamorous looking person. I tried to make her less so, trying to have her look more rustic. She still looks glamorous - I cannot fight what is there!
I am splitting my time in the studio between finishing up 2 more portraits and practicing my tree paintings for the Excelsior District art commission. Since I am using the Precita Eyes mural paint, I want to make sure I can still handle the paint the same way for my trees. The texture is different and I also want to make sure the mixing of colors is under control. I am doing 5 in X 8 in practice pieces - it's been fun.
