portrait progress

The portrait of my friend is inspired by this portrait of Rembrandt by Rembrandt. The colors (as best as i can interpret from a book) glow and that is the feeling I want to achieve with my portrait.

I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with this portrait of Cynthia.  I will fix the ear and clean up areas on the face before putting the finishing touches of lead white, the hair details, background and sweater.
