Friends of the Library book sale
A fine day to be hanging out in a line waiting to gain admittance to the annual Friends of the San Francisco Public Library book sale. I've been a member for a few years but this was my first time at the book sale. Along with the tickets, the SFPL sent a letter on etiquette which made me wonder what the previous sales were like. No shoving, no hoarding, no abusing volunteers - wow, I guess some people got very agro.
It was a massive sale and i headed straight for the art section which was one of the more crowded tables.
After looking over the art, cooking, sewing, health tables, i was ready for a snack so i stood in line to purchase food but money was unnecessary! There were light snacks, wine, water for all us members and just enough to fortify my constitution.
And, my purchases below - all for $58. The pricing was as follows: $3 for hardcover, $2 for softcover books $1 for verything else (DVDs, CDS, ephemera). The sale is open to the public through Sunday. On Sunday, everything is priced at $1.
