Portraits of Protest
The photographer Robert Schultze captured images of the Occupy demonstrators which caught my eye since i am interested in portraiture. Schultze has been to the San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Santa Rosa, and San Jose Occupy sites. He sets up a mini photo sudio with a simple backdrop and the finished piece is in black and white. They are part of his "Occupy California: Portraits of the 99%" and this vimeo shows the people of the movement.

It seems that there are several artists joining in the Occupy portrait bandwagon most notably Marielle Solan for the NY Observer , Martin Schoeller for the New Yorker and on the creative culture blog Yello!
