Alula Editions
Alula Editions Party
Tuesday, September 7
5-8 pm
at Museum of Craft and Folk Art
Join Alula Editions for the launch of their inaugural edition with San Francisco based artist Jason Jägel.
Alula Editions is an art subscription service featuring limited edition artworks made from artist designed textiles. The objects they make range from functional to sculptural, with an emphasis on carrying the concepts present in the textile designs through to the form and function of the object.
Alula Editions co-founders Helena Keeffe and Amber Cady invite you to learn about their process, check out the finished edition, and become a subscriber. Snacks made from local produce will be crafted by chef Leif Hedendal. Wine and beer will be offered as well, including the delicious Burning Oak Lager from Oakland based Linden Street Brewery. Be one of the first 30 in the door and receive a free sample of hand-printed fabric!
I really like the idea of having something original, made locally, and makes collecting affordable. For $200 a year, you get 4 art objects, each made with an original pattern for textiles conceived by a living artist.
