Discovery Night at Presidio Middle School
The students introduced their project in a 60 second speech to everyone and they performed very well. I know public speaking isn't easy for most people let alone 12 and 13 year olds. There were many apprentices this time (first time SPARK had a summer session and i think it was a huge success)so the presentation of the work was divided into two sessions. I wish i could've taken photos of every table but i limited it to the second session when i remembered to get my camera phone out which also explains the poor quality of the images. Nevertheless, i think one gets the idea that the students were enthusiastic and learned a lot from their experiences.
The apprenticeships included nursing,engineering, illustration, baking, event planning, animal care, graphic design, fashion design, health care, catering, dance, politics/social serviced, business and computer technology, elder health care, computer technology, and of course painting.
