Day 2 SPARK

Me and my SPARK apprentice, Naomi Perry
She really got into the work today so much so that her clothing got speckles of paint even with the art shirt as apron on. We got the paint off before it dried.

Naomi prepares the backs of her miniatures by gluing a clean back to her paintings, using starch glue.

She created so many pieces (one can do a lot in 3 hours) that we had to dry the pieces on the floor since the work surface was already covered with finished pieces. I had her try her hand at drawing with a clear oil pastel which creates resistance marks. The paper is then flooded with black ink to reveal our drawings/messages. Henry Moore used to do these kinds of drawings and i enjoy doing them.
