SFAI MFA show
A very early announcement - mark your calendars
I usually go on the Friday before (May 14)- it's kind of a zoo so go early if you want to see the work without the crowds. One reason to go then is if anyone is doing performance art, you probably won't see it any other time.
The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) 's 2010 Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Graduate Exhibition introduces to the wider Bay Area community some of its best provocative and thought-provoking new talent. The largest show of its kind at a single venue in the Bay Area, the 2010 MFA Graduate Exhibition features work by about 80 artists.
The result of an intense period of collaboration, investigation, and artistic development, the work on display represents a range of interests, media, and approaches -- providing patrons with an overview of some of the most challenging and exciting directions and strategies in contemporary art today.
The 2010 MFA Graduate Exhibition is an opportunity for students to present their work to the larger world. This valuable experience of participating in a large, public exhibition is the culmination of a challenging program of study and creation.
May 15, Saturday through May 22, Saturday, Noon-6:00 p.m. Daily
FREE
More Information: (415) 771-7020 and www.sfai.edu
Private Preview event: May 13, Thursday, 7:00-10:00 p.m. (ticketed)
