Informational Meeting for StreetSmARTS
New Program Connects Urban Artists and Property Owners in Beautifying the Community
WHAT: Calling all urban artists to bring beauty to the community with StreetSmARTS! The San Francisco Arts Commission in conjunction with the Department of Public Works’ Street SmARTS program connects established urban artists with private property owners. The goal of this initiative is to partner respected muralists with private property owners to create vibrant art, making the property less likely to be vandalized. This program also aims to restore San Francisco as a recognized, international destination for mural art. An artist information session about the StreetSmARTS program will be held on Thursday, January 7th from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts located at 2868 Mission Street.
