Update on previous posting "image used without permission" from July 7, 2009.
I have been in contact with the editor of BlazeVox and i am glad to report that he took this matter very seriously and promptly removed the publication from the website. I know as well as any struggling artist that it is important to have your work out there so i asked the editor to re-instate the publication on their website with the image of "Blue Man Walking" with my permission. He sent a stern but informative letter to the offending poet and really, that was enough for me. In addition to selling fictions and wide ranging fields of contemporary poetry, BlazeVox provides free downloads and they state that each title averages about 7,000 downloads. Getting exposure is one step to getting a paying gig so BlazeVox not only provides the public with easily accessible reads, it provides writers a means for exposure to one day, make an income from what they love doing.
