Kabocha

The current work is in part inspired by the kabocha or Japanese pumpkin. I have memories of my mother's garden with this squash plant and my son helping his grandma harvest the pumpkin. I am not quite there yet but getting close. I am missing the vibrancy of the earlier part of the painting but i am liking the layering of colors.
