CALL FOR ART: WARHOL NOW AND THEN
The de Young Museum seeks artists from the interdisciplinary arts from San Francisco Bay Area colleges and universities to participate in their 2009 Spring College Night exhibition, Warhol: Now and Then. This exhibition pays tribute to Andy Warhol and also inspired by the de Young museum’s special exhibition, which runs from February 14th to May 17th 2009. To complement and accentuate Warhol Live, they are looking for artists working in any creative discipline to submit artworks that either take a traditional approach to Warhol’s artistic style/process and subject matter or explore and exhibit a contemporary interpretation of the artist’s works. They aspire artists to take a new and fresh approach to Warhol but still maintain Warhol’s sensibility to art and art making practices.
