The City of San Ramon is seeking a qualified artist(s) to submit their qualifications to provide an art element for San Ramon's Central Park Bollinger Canyon entrance. Artists of all media are encouraged to apply for consideration.
San Ramon's Central park is located at the Corner of Alcosta Blvd. and Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon. The park is home to a community center sports fields children's playground picnic areas amphitheater basketball courts and a skateboard Park. It is home to many civic events including the annual Art & Wind Festival and Star Spangled Spectacular celebrations. It is a primary gathering spot for the community for both weddings and recreational classes inside the Community Center and for picnics sports leagues and family gatherings outside in the park.
The City is seeking an artist to design artwork for the site that will be visible to visitors entering the park from the Bollinger Canyon Side entrance. The final piece should be vandal resistant and portray the sense of fun and family that San Ramon is known for. Application deadline - January 20, 2009

Western StatesThe City of Fremont is seeking experienced artist(s) to design and install a site-specific art commission at the new Fremont Fire Station #2 located at the corner of G Street and Niles Blvd. in the Niles District of Fremont. Artist's budget not to exceed $26,400. $1000 honorarium for finalist(s) - no more than three.
