Visual Aid is looking for donations of art for their annual art auction. The event called BIG DEAL 15 will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 4-9pm.
Everybody’s favorite fixed price art sale showcasing 600+ works of art donated by local artists, with music, live and silent auctions.
At Somarts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan Street, San Francisco and street parking is easy. I've participated at least 4 times and it is a fun event. It is also a great way to bring something new you are working on and to see how well it does. The way to measure the success is to see how soon it is sold. I usually bring 2 works of art so that i can bring a friend to the event - artists get free admission.
People line up hours before to secure an early entrance - first come, first served, and they get the best choices.
