Postcrossing update

I sent 5 post cards through Postcrossing, where the main idea is that for every postcard you send, you'll receive one back, from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world. So, i've sent my 5 (which is the limit for newcomers) to Finland, Germany, England, Singapore, and Canada and two have been received and acknowledged. They both sent me emails thanking me for my original oil painting postcards. The idea of making a connection with someone randomly from somewhere far away is kind of exciting. FYI, it costs 95 cents to send an Internatinal postcard. It is interesting that all 5 of my sendees are women which makes me wonder why something like this attracts women.
