back to work

I just realized this weekend that i only have one month that i can devote to preparing for Open Studios because of a hectic travel schedule coming up. I took last week off for a "staycation". Here are a few images with stuff i've been playing with, layering paint using rabbit skin glue and pigment. I also went back to the old familiar oil and beeswax combination.

These will be the background for my family tree series where i will paint little trees to fit in the store bought frames with the little openings for different sized photos. My trees always sell well but i don't want to sell anymore so that i can create my 1000 tree forest installation. A friend thought they looked like Sean Scullys. Cool!
