Ainu culture

I have been reading whatever i can from the Internet about the Ainu, the indigenous people of Northern Japan since i will be going to Hokkaido in September/October. I came across a YouTube video which shows historical scenes of the Ainu with their long hair and interesting textiles. I am apparently 1/16th Ainu which may account for my "not quite Japanese" look.
The music soundtrack is haunting.
