The Artists & Writers Alliance Internationale, founded by Sherry Steiner, is a project dedicated to encouraging collaborative creative projects is currently accepting listings for its website from visual artists, writers of all genres, musicians, dancers, filmmakers and multi-disciplinary artists who are interested in connecting with other creative types to produce collaborative works of art. All are welcome to submit a free listing to the AWAI website. Thanks to the internet, artists and writers as well as others in all media can work on projects together while living on opposite sides of the world or around the corner from eachother enabling cultures and ideas to blend while giving life to new artforms.
The Artists & Writers Alliance Internationale website will also post collaborations that have taken place between artists, writers and others who have connected as a result of their registering with AWAI, listings of AWAI events, performances and exhibits worldwide. AWAI is the clearinghouse that will bring artists, writers and others in the arts together from around the world; it is then up to the participants to contact eachother directly for more detailed information for possible collaborative projects.
Collaboration is something i miss from my previous life as a scientist. Working with someone motivated towards a common goal was exciting, challenging, fulfilling and really fun.
